The 2012-2013 has been anything but magical for the Detroit Pistons. With a 17-23 home record and 28-52 mark on the season, Detroit stands at 12th place in the Eastern Conference, a full nine games out of eighth.
With the job security of head coach Lawrence Frank in question, the Pistons have the chance to finish on a strong note. Detroit rides a three-game win streak heading into Monday night’s home finale against Philadelphia.
At 33-47, the visiting 76ers are also in a state of change. Head coach Doug Collins has already announced his intention to resign at the end of the season, while the futures of free agents-to-be Dorell Wright, Damien Wilkins, and Andrew Bynum are still unclear.
Jrue Holiday leads the Sixers with 17.9 points per game and 8.2 assists. Thaddeus Young averages 14.9 points per game and leads the Sixers with 7.6 rebounds per game.
Rookie Andre Drummond is listed as a game-time decision after turning an ankle in Friday’s win over Charlotte. Point guard Jose Calderon is out after missing practice Sunday with a strained right elbow.
Pistons’ owner Tom Gores will be in attendance for only the sixth time this season. He’s expected to speak with the media prior to tip-off.
